Football Camp (Nova Scotia): Future Axemen Football Camps cater to all players, ages

Time: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

Drop off time: 8:30 am – 9:00 am

The goal of the camp is to teach the fundamental skills of the game of football.  By the end of the camp the campers will have improved football skills and a better understanding of the game.  The campers will learn skills in a fun, active and safe non-contact environment.

Campers will learn blocking and tackling techniques (on bags), learn how to handle, protect, catch and pass the football from the Acadia Axemen coaching staff (including Head Coach and 2011 National Coach of the Year Jeff Cummins) & current Axemen players.

Campers will also have a chance to use the athletics facilities during the day (gym, pool, etc) and will play in organized touch football game

Time: Friday August 8^th 9:00 am – 4:00 pm;  Saturday August 9^th 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

The goal of the camp it to teach high level techniques and fundamentals to High School/Jr High School level athletes.

Each athlete will work directly in small groups with Acadia University football coaches. Players will have a chance to learn more about the game from film sessions run by the Acadia Axemen coaching staff (including Head Coach and 2011 National Coach of the Year Jeff Cummins) & current Axemen players.

Campers will also have a chance to use other athletic facilities throughout the day (gym, pool, etc).

Cost: 2 Days – with lunch: $100.00

Residential (includes all meals): $150.00
