CEGEP standout joins RSEQ team’s 2014 class.
There were a couple of things that proved important in a CEGEP standout’s decision as to where he should begin his CIS career.
After careful consideration, Benjamin Garand-Gauthier recently committed to the Sherbrooke Vert et Or. The 6’1, 230 pound tight end/fullback from Mirabel, Quebec is looking forward to contributing to his future CIS team.
“I decided to go to Sherbrooke because I think it’s the better place for me,” explained Garand-Gauthier of his decision. “The coaches are awesome and I have known for a long time that I wanted to go there.”
“They use tight ends a lot in their formation so that was very important in my choice.”
The Quebec standout recently completed his CEGEP career with Division 2 team, Lionel-Groulx Nordiques. This past fall, he had 179 yards in 25 catches.
