CEGEP defensive back signs with OUA team
Thomas Carrier is the next recruit headed to the Nation’s Capital.
Recently, the 5’11, 195 pound defensive back from Baie-Comeau, Quebec signed with the Ottawa Gee-Gees. Carrier will join the team for the 2015 OUA season.
For his part, the official visit to the Ottawa, Ontario campus sealed the deal.
“The reason I chose Ottawa is because of the feeling I had after my visit with the coaches,” recalled Carrier. “I really felt good about the vibe that this team has and I can envision myself in the Gee-Gee uniform.”
“I got the chance to meet current and graduated players and they were all so welcoming. The coaches preach the right values like team work and work ethic. I am looking forward to playing for a city that I consider home.”
Carrier comes to the Gee-Gees after completing a stint with CEGEP Division 3 team, Outaouais Griffons. This past season, he caught five interceptions in eight games.
