TORONTO -Travis Lulay, Solomon Elimimian, Luca Congi and Samuel Giguere were named the Gibson’s Finest Players of the Week for Week 6 of the 2013 Canadian Football League season.
The four players were chosen by a panel of judges including: former Canadian Football League players Matt Dunigan and Duane Forde of TSN, and Pierre Vercheval of RDS.

Travis Lulay
QB – BC Lions
Winnipeg Blue Bombers 20 @ BC Lions 27
BC Lions quarterback Travis Lulay was named the Offensive Player of the Week for Week 6. Lulay threw for 268 yards, three touchdowns on 28-of-39 passing in the BC Lions 27-20 win over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
Lulay, the all-time passing leader at Montana State, threw a 20, 14 and 11-yard touchdown passes to three different receivers.
Through six weeks of the CFL season, Lulay is second in the league with 1,468 passing yards and tied for second with 10 touchdown passes.

Solomon Elimimian
LB – BC Lions
Winnipeg Blue Bombers 20 @ BC Lions 27
BC Lions linebacker Solomon Elimimian was named the Defensive Player of the Week for Week 6. Elimimian was a force from the opening kickoff for the Lions when he forced a fumble, which led to BC scoring the opening points with a field goal. Later in the first half, Elimimian intercepted a pass from Justin Goltz and returned it 17 yards into Blue Bomber territory.
Elimimian, former University of Hawaii player and all-time tackles leader with the Warriors, had three tackles and a special teams tackle in the game. He currently leads the BC Lions in tackles with 29.

Luca Congi
K – Hamilton Tiger-Cats
Hamilton Tiger-Cats 30 @ Edmonton Eskimos 29
Hamilton Tiger-Cats kicker Luca Congi was named the Special Teams Player of the Week for Week 6. Congi was a perfect three-for-three on field goals and added a trio of converts in the Tiger-Cats 30-29 win over the Eskimos.
Congi, a seven year CFL veteran, kicked field goals from 38, 27 and 17 yards in the game.
The former Simon Fraser player and native of Waterloo, ON is currently fourth in the league in kicking points with 49 and has made 11 of his 15 field goal attempts.

Samuel Giguere
WR – Hamilton Tiger-Cats
Hamilton Tiger-Cats 30 @ Edmonton Eskimos 29
Hamilton Tiger-Cats wide receiver Samuel Giguere was named the Canadian Player of the Week for Week 6. Giguere caught six passes for 90 yards including a 25-yard reception on a key second down play that helped Hamilton get the win in Edmonton, 30-29.
The former University of Sherbrooke standout and native of Sherbrooke, QC has 22 receptions for 309 yards, good enough for third on Hamilton’s receiving yards list this season.
