Gibson’s Finest CFL Players of the Week 2013
Canadian Football League Week # 3
TORONTO – Kory Sheets, Renauld Williams, Rene Paredes and Andre Durie were named the Gibson’s Finest Players of the Week for Week 3 of the 2013 Canadian Football League season.
The four players were chosen by a panel of judges including: former Canadian Football League players Matt Dunigan and Duane Forde of TSN, and Pierre Vercheval of RDS.

RB – Saskatchewan Roughriders
Saskatchewan Roughriders 39 @ Toronto Argonauts 28
Saskatchewan Roughriders running back Kory Sheets was named the Offensive Player of the Week for Week 3. Sheets continued his torrid start after rushing for 178 yards on 26 carries, including two touchdowns in Saskatchewan’s 39-28 win over the Toronto Argonauts.
The CFL rushing leader also set a new record for most yards rushing to start a season (after three games) with 442.
Sheets, the all-time touchdown leader at Purdue University also caught two passes for 21 yards, including an 18-yard reception.

Renauld Williams
LB – Saskatchewan Roughriders
Saskatchewan Roughriders 39 @ Toronto Argonauts 28
Saskatchewan Roughriders linebacker Renauld Williams was named the Defensive Player of the Week for Week 3. Williams led the Roughriders defence with eight tackles, including two sacks, and a pass knock-down in Saskatchewan’s 39-28 win over the Toronto Argonauts.
Williams, a former player at Hofstra University leads the undefeated Roughriders (3-0) in tackles (14) and sacks (3).
Gibson’s Finest CFL Special Teams Player of the Week
Rene Paredes
K – Calgary Stampeders
Calgary Stampeders 22 @ Montreal Alouettes 14
Calgary Stampeders kicker Rene Paredes was named the Special Teams Player of the Week for Week 3. Paredes went perfect going five-for-five on field goals and added a convert in the Stampeders 22-14 win over the Alouettes.
In the game Paredes kicked field goals from 39 twice, 22, 20 and 18 yards.
After three weeks into the season, Paredes currently leads the league in kicking points with 30.

Andre Durie
SB – Toronto Argonauts
Saskatchewan Roughriders 39 @ Toronto Argonauts 28
Toronto Argonauts slotback Andre Durie was named the Canadian Player of the Week for Week 3. Durie had seven receptions for 100 yards including a 10-yard touchdown in the Argonauts 39-28 loss to the Roughriders.
The former York University standout and native of Mississauga, ON also had one carry for 22-yards.
