Guelph Gryphons seek Assistant Coach

Interested in working at the University of Guelph with the OUA defending Yates Cup Champion Gryphons. Look no further, we’re looking for an Assistant Coach. Information Below:

POSITION: 
Assistant Coach-Football
Department of Athletics, University of Guelph

REPORTING TO:
Head Football Coach

As a valuable member of the Gryphon Football program, you will deliver championship service to our student athletes.  Under the direction of the Head Coach, you will assist in building a Championship Culture on and off the field.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Defensive coaching priority, preferably Defensive Backs
  • Identify, qualify and recruit University of Guelph student athletes
  • Provide assistance and administration to Football directed events
  • Additional responsibilities at the Head Coach’s discretion

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preferred University Graduate
  • Fluent in French is an asset
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Valid driver license and access to a vehicle
  • Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Available to work weekend and evenings as required
  • Successful at delivering under time-pressured deadlines, utilizing time management and organizational skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Proficient at recruiting software programs (Frontrush)
  • A self-starter with a mature, professional attitude and can adapt to new situations quick and efficiently
  • The capacity to learn and grasp new concepts quickly
  • Alert and receptive to change
  • A positive team spirit and winning attitude
