#HATTERSTRONG: Football fraternity to help one of their own

Dear Community Partner:

On February 26th our community was saddened and shocked by the news that Mark Hatt had been diagnosed with stage 4 Adenocarcinoma Lung Cancer. The Cancer has spread to the tissue surrounding his heart and lymph nodes. Mark has lived his entire life in Cambridge.  He is a father, husband, teacher, coach and friend to thousands in this community.

On Friday May 30th, 2014 we are hosting a #HATTERSTRONG Event.  At Jacob Hespeler between 4:00-6:00 pm there will be a touch football jamboree, cancer walk and barbeque. That same evening, a social will take place at The Cambridge Newfoundland Club from 8:00 pm to 1:00 am.

As part of the social, we will be holding a Silent Auction, and hope that you or your organization will contribute to our fundraising effort.  If an auction item isn’t available, perhaps a donation or “service in kind.”  Mark and his family will need considerable financial support for possible treatment in the U.S.A., Naturopathic care, medication not covered as well as travel and accommodation expenses.

You can follow our auction online from April 15 – May 30 at http://www.32auctions.com/hatterstrong
