OVFL: Lions win a tough bout against hardy Bulldogs

The Varsity Cambridge Lions played tough to beat the Brampton Bulldogs with the final score being 17-6.

“We have lots to clean up. We had missed opportunities, a lot of chances early, to put the game away and we failed to do so,” said Head Coach Anthony Maggiacomo.

On offense the Lions had a quite day statistically, but were able to move the ball but had some trouble closing the deal.

‘We didn’t finish, we stalled in the red zone,” said Maggiacomo.

In the trenches, the Lions were inconsistent at times.

“At times we looked great and at times we struggled,” noted Maggiacomo.

The Lions had notable performances from quarterback James Roberts, with 175 yards through the air.

“[We] ran better the second half,” said Maggiacomo.
