The CFC #15 Holy Trinity Titans (Courtice) controlled the ball and the game from the first drive and dominated the King City Lions winning 28 to 3 in the Metro Bowl final.
The Titans, running the ‘fly’ offense, amassed over 300 yards rushing, led by speedy slot back Earl Anderson (21 carries, 156 yards, 2 TDs).
The game was filled with many injuries, including York Region MVP Nick Shortill. The loss of the Lions best player (as well as 3 other starters) before the half made things even more difficult.
The Titans led 14 to 3 at half and played some stifling defense in the second half, limiting the Lions to minus 3 yards in the third quarter.
The game was played in front of the biggest and loudest crowd of the day. The “HT” crowd gets the CFC crowd of the day award.
