MINOR (ONT): KMFL celebrates 35th anniversary in Peterborough

Holding strong after 35 years the KMFL (Kinsmen Minor Football League) season is well on it’s way.

Oct 9th the League will be holding a Friday night lights event at Thomas A. Stewart Field (Home of the Peterborough Wolverines) to celebrate the Leagues 35th anniversary.

The evening will get started at6:30pm with the Sr. Chargers taking on the Sr. Steelers (U14), followed by a special 7 on 7 alumni game with players from the past coming out to support the program they once played in.

“Everyone is getting very excited for this event” said KMFL President Jason Ward.

The evening will be concluded with a second minor game between the SR. Stars and the SR. Eagles (U14). T

he KMFL has grown strong roots in the community and has had a major hand in the development of the Peterborough Wolverines Rep program and High School players across the Kawarthas.

A night like this will give the league a chance to say thank you to it’s past players, Coaches, Presidents and fans alike.
