NCAFA Week 5: Nolan & Robertson lead Warriors, Zamor scored 4 TD’s in Generals win

The South Ottawa Mustangs came from behind to win an exciting 39-33 game over the North Gloucester Giants led by Lesean Wilson with 4 TDs featuring great blocking by David Lafreniere, Joey Imiq, Ahmed Meradjah and Avery Williams. MLB Aiden Blackett made 14 solo tackles and Deandre Rowe and Klaus Pagout had an impressive 2nd half at DB.

Strong defence by Elijah St. John led Myers Riders to a 12-6 win over the Nepean Redskins.  Yanis Iloki had a 10 yard TD run for the Redskins while LB Joseph Tardioli had his best game of the year with 10 tackles.

The Bell Warriors defense stood tall in holding the powerful Kanata Knights offence to 14 points but came away short in a 14-0 loss. Great efforts from MLB Dakari Baskin and LBs Anthony Campbell-Harrison and Avery Osborne also helped contain the Knights running game.

The Cumberland Panthers defeated the East Ottawa Generals 55-30. RBs Dante Spadaccini and Eleijah Zamor led the team to their first victory of the season scoring 5 and 4 TDs respectively.

Mosquito

The South Ottawa Mustangs forced 5 turnovers propelling them to a 14-12 win over the North Gloucester Giants. Noah Rehman led with 2 fumble recoveries and Dimitri Phineus and Zack Van der Starren added one each. Adam Watson had an interception. Mustang scoring came from Precieux King as well as the winning TD on the last play of the game from QB Phillippe Sow.  The winning points were kicked through the uprights by Godwin Madra.

The Nepean Redskins remained unbeaten with their fifth shutout in 5 games as they beat Myers Riders 32-0. Colin Henley-Vachon had a punt return TDs of 62 and 71 yards and led the Redskins D with 7 solo tackles. Haven Holder had 111 yards on 16 carries and scored 3 TDs.

The Bell Warriors won a 7-6 OT thriller over the Kanata Knights. There was only 1 Warrior TD scored by FB Kyle Crabtree. This hard fought defensive battle was led by Warriors Jeremy Pare, Ethan Ryan, Eben Dibuca and Nicholas Walter.

The Outaouais Saints played hard right until the end but a relentless Bel-Air Lions defence led by Stephane Tshishimbi who scored a TD alongside Schneider Cave held back the storm in a 40-0 victory. Djosy and Shawn Lukussa, Max Wong, Wesley Tshimanga and Bryce Russell all had TDs.  Kelly Paquette also ran the ball well.

Pee Wee

The Nepean Redskins gave up 2 late TDs in a 34-6 loss to Myers Riders. Honoreal Iloki carried the ball 13 times for 139 yards and scored the lone Redskins TD on a 70 yard run. For Myers, Evan Lachapelle and Genio Milito provided key perimeter blocks while Vincenzo Frangione and Alejandro Politis limited the Redskins offense all game long.

The Bell Warriors turned their season in a positive direction by beating the Kanata Knights 39-19. The offence was led by a great running performance by Sam Robertson and a strong passing outing by QB Eric Nolan.
