The JV Toronto Jr. Argos play the Burlington Stampeders (’96) this Sunday. The game will be very exciting as both squads are looking to continue their winning streaks.
So far this season the Jr. Argos have played great games, but they will have to play excellent if they hope to take down the Stampeders who currently sit in first place in the Ontario Football Conference.
The Jr. Argos are coming off of a bye week, so they should be well rested and eager to play this coming Sunday.
“They (Burlington) play a similar aggressive style, like we do” says head coach Carlo Onorati. “It is sure to be a really good game”. So far this season, Burlington has manhandled their opponents, winning in some cases by over 60 points!
With a win, the Jr. Argos will be in a three way tie for first place, along with the Sarnia Sturgeons, TC Predators. It will also hand the Stampeders their first loss of the year. However, with a loss the Jr. Argos might find themselves drop two or three places from fourth in the standings.
This will be the JV Jr. Argos last game at home for the season, as St. Michael’s Field will be under construction. The game is at 1:00 PM at Father Henry Carr this Sunday.
