Tomorrow afternoon the Toronto JV Jr. Argos will be facing off against the Sudbury Gladiators. After their strong win last week, the Jr. Argos hope to begin a long winning streak.
Last Sunday the Jr. Argos thumped the Oakville Titans 22-7. Meanwhile in Sudbury, the Gladiators had a rough game against the Burlington Stampeders. The final score was a devastating 35-0.
Although Jr. Argos coach Carlo Onorati is confident his team will play a great game, he warns that it is “dangerous to underestimate our opponents”.
The Jr. Argos are going to have to keep their momentum going to help bring down the Gladiators. Great performances are expected from every player, including those who had
great games last week like defensive end Myles Hunter.
It is unclear how the game will be played without the Jr. Argos star quarterback Treyion Charles. It is unlikely that Charles will be able to play for the rest of the season after suffering a leg injury last week. The Jr. Argos played very aggressive against the Titans, so it will be interesting to see the changes in the game plan come Sunday led by QB Christian Batista.
The game will take place at 5PM at St. Michael’s Field.
