Thirteen-year-old Peyton Garvin has played two years of football with Guelph Jr. Gryphon Minor Football.
The quarterback also attended a Sport Specific Training camp last March break.
During the offseason he trains by throwing, running and doing drop backs every day.
Two times a week he also does a ladder and cone workout, but most of his cross training is wrestling for the Gryphon wrestling club team three times a week.
“My goals for the Ontario Prospect Challenge (OPC) are to play on team Ontario, be the absolute best quarterback for the OPC and to get noticed by American schools,” said Peyton.
On the field, he has to idols, Ohio State Buckeyes JT Barrett and Ezekiel Elliot.
The Gryphon loves JT because he runs and passes very well and got the Big 10 Quarterback of the Year award as a freshman.
Moreover, Peyton likes Elliot because he is an amazing athlete and extremely hard worker.
“I love to play football because for me, throwing or running for a big gain or a touchdown is the absolute best feeling in the world,” commented Peyton.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
