This has been Zakary Holdsworth’s first season playing organized football.

“Throughout the season so far I have impressed a lot of different people with my skills,” says the defensive tackle, who plays for the Patrick Fogarty Flames.

“It’s been proven that I have a natural ability to play the game and I have been complemented by numerous people along the way,” added the Flames standout.

During the offseason, he does weight training as well as speed and agility training to keep himself in prime shape.

Overall, he has one key objective for the Ontario Prospect Challenge (OPC).

“My goal for the OPC is to further my knowledge for the game while making new bonds with teammates on the way,” explained Zakary. “I am looking forward to getting to train with knowledgeable professional coaches as well.”

As a 2017 graduate, a goal of his is to make the #CFC100.

He is passionate about playing the sport for a couple of key reasons.

“I love to play football because it requires both physical and mental toughness, teaches discipline and is a fast high intensity game,” commented the Flame. “There is no better feeling than a play coming together and knowing that all your hard work has paid off.”

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
