The final week of the regular seasons of both the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL) and Ontario Football Conference (OFC), is in the books.
Niagara Spears, Ottawa Myers Riders, Metro Toronto Wildcats, Cumberland Panthers, Cambridge Lions, Etobicoke Eagles, Brampton Bulldogs and Oshawa Hawkeyes all won their regular season finales this past weekend.
Meanwhile, Burlington Stampeders, Hamilton Hurricanes and Twin-Cities Predators were victorious in the OFC.
Here are the result from Week 9 action in both the OVFL and OFC:

ONTARIO VARSITY FOOTBALL LEAGUE (OVFL):
NIAGARA SPEARS 66, MISSISSAUGA WARRIORS 7:
Under Friday Night Lights at Kiwanis Park, Jacob Andrews scored three punt return touchdowns as the Niagara Spears thrashed visiting Mississauga Warriors 66-7.
Travis Arp completed eight passes in 13 attempts for 114 yards and three passing touchdowns in the win. Owen Wallace tallied a major and racked up 56 yards on three receptions. Hayden Riley added a 22 yard field goal, seven PAT’s and a rouge.
For the Warriors, George-Anthony Kotselidis completed 13 passes in 29 passes for 115 yards and a passing touchdown. Sean Paquette added a PAT.
OTTAWA MYERS RIDERS 42, WEST DURHAM DOLPHINS 8:
At University of Ottawa Lees Campus on Saturday afternoon, Jean Paul Cimankinda tallied three majors and rushed for 197 yards on nine carries as the Ottawa Myers Riders walloped West Durham Dolphins 42-8.
Hayden Tripp dashed into the end zone twice and had 156 yards on 11 carries. Additionally, Honoreal Iloki amassed 56 yards on four receptions for the Myers Riders. Owen Clement added a 32 yard field goal, five PAT’s and a rouge.
METRO TORONTO WILDCATS 41, HALTON COWBOYS 14:
On Saturday afternoon as Jean Vanier Catholic School, Daniel Solaroli scored three touchdowns and rushed for 191 yards on 24 carries as the Metro Toronto Wildcats cruised to a 41-14 victory over Halton Cowboys.
Joshua Knight was successful on five conversion attempts.
CUMBERLAND PANTHERS 54, YORK SIMCOE BUCS 41:
At St Maximillian Kolbe CHS on Saturday early evening, #CFCOPC pivot Alexander Lawrie completed 18 passes in 23 attempts for 293 yards and three passing touchdowns as the Cumberland Panthers defeated York Simcoe Bucs 54-41.
Kian Williams scored two touchdowns and rushed for 86 yards on nine carries. Duncan Hladik also tallied two majors and amassed 62 yards on three receptions in the win. Jake Lapensee racked up 108 yards on two receptions. Zachary Batal added four PAT’s.
On defence, Charlain Alain registered eight solo and four assisted tackles. Moreover, Grant Harrison chipped in with an assisted and seven solo tackles for the Panthers.
#CFCOPC pivot Ben Langlois led the Bucs as he completed 19 passes in 31 attempts for 324 yards and four passing touchdowns. Cameron Clarke scored two touchdowns and amassed 132 yards on five receptions. Additionally, Ron Boshoer tallied two touchdowns and had 96 yards on four receptions in the loss.
Michael Georgiopolous added a 15 yards field goal and four PAT’s while Nathan Sherrard was successful on two conversion attempts for the Bucs.
Danny McWhiter led the Bucs defence as he caught an interception as well as five solo and two assisted tackles. Mike Gray added five solo and five assisted tackles.
CAMBRIDGE LIONS 58, SAULT (SSM) SABRECATS 0:
On Saturday early evening at Rocky DiPietro Field, Elvis Sanchez scored four touchdowns and rushed for 233 yards on 13 carries as the Cambridge Lions crushed the Sault (SSM) Sabrecates 58-0.
Dylan Ferdinand tallied two majors and accumulated 126 yards on eight carries. Additionally, William Pipe had 87 yards on four carries in the win. Andrew Horscroft added eight PAT’s.
On defence, Jack Hinsperger recorded a solo sack as well as eight solo and five assisted tackles to guide the Lions.
As for the Sabrecats, Michael Byron completed 19 passes in 31 attempts for 218 yards and a passing touchdown. Jordan Arruda racked up 72 yards on five receptions while Tyler Holub chipped in with 70 yards on five receptions.
Jacob Fecteau led the defence as he recorded an assisted sack as well as five solo and seven assisted tackles in the loss. Joseph Rosso also had a solo sack, three solo and four assisted sacks. Devin Segin also had a solo and an assisted sack as well as three solo and three assisted tackles for the Sabrecats.
ETOBICOKE EAGLES 66, ESSEX RAVENS 21:
At Father Henry Carr Catholic Secondary School on Sunday afternoon, Samuel Conteh rushed into the end zone three times and had 163 yards on 22 carries as the Etobicoke Eagles soared to a 66-21 win over Essex Ravens.
Marcel Grant scored two touchdowns and had 110 yards on four receptions. Keegan Dicks tallied two majors and racked up 82 yards on three receptions. Additionally, he added four PAT’s.
Khalil Wilson completed nine passes in 15 attempts for 220 yards, rushed for 134 yards on five carries, four passing and a rushing major for the Eagles.
Devonte Smiklie recorded an assisted sack as well as nine solo and an assisted tackles.
BRAMPTON BULLDOGS 37, HAMILTON IRONMEN 0:
On Sunday evening at Chingacousy Park, the Brampton Bulldogs earned a 37-0 shutout victory over Hamilton Ironmen.
OSHAWA HAWKEYES 38, KINGSTON GRENADIERS 35:
At Oshawa Civic Stadium on Sunday evening, the hosts Hawkeyes edged the Grenadiers 38-35.

BURLINGTON STAMPEDERS 44, FOREST CITY THUNDERBIRDS 20:
JUNIOR VARSITY STAMPEDERS REBOUND WITH WIN TO CLOSE OUT REGULAR SEASON

The Burlington Stampeders Junior Varsity squad concluded regular season play with a 44-20 victory over the Forest City Thunderbirds. The win clinched 2nd place for the Stamps in the Ontario Football Conference South Division with a 7-1 mark while the Thunderbirds will finish in 4th place at 5-3.
Pivot Kurtis Rourke hit for three touchdown passes to lead the Stamps who built up a 23-8 halftime lead. Rourke connected with Wesley Austin from 9 and 14 yards and started the game with a 22 yard strike to Noah Griffith. Ayden Amestoy crossed the goal line from 10 and 1 yard while Nathan Langley rushed for 184 yards on 17 carries and a score from 8 yards away. James Condon was 6 for 6 on converts and the defence forced a conceded safety touch. For Forest City, Tiger Poirier ran in from 10 yards while Tom Cummings plunged in from a yard away. Noah Johns returned a kickoff 80 yards for a major and also caught a 2 point convert.
The Stampeders will host two first round playoff games on Sunday July 26th at Nelson Stadium. The undefeated Bantam squad will host the Sarnia Sturgeon at noon at Nelson Stadium in their division semi final. The Bantams defeated the Sturgeon 26-6 in Sarnia last weekend to conclude their regular season play. The Junior Varsity will host the Hamilton Hurricanes with a 3:00 p.m. kickoff. The Stamps bested their neighbors at Hamilton on July 3rd by a decisive 56-14 count. The Varsity Stamps will start their playoffs on the road at Hamilton versus the Hurricanes. The Canes knocked the Stamps from the ranks of the unbeaten back on July 4th when Jack Beattie hit a 24 yard field goal with 42 seconds remaining to give the home side a 20-18 win.
