The Varsity Essex Ravens started off the game with ‘bang’ on a 71 yard touch down by Kenny Allen. The Ravens continued to stay strong throughout the rest of the game with two more touchdowns in the first half. Going into the second half leading 21-0 , the Ravens put up another 14 points to end the game 35-7.

Offense:
First year Eli Fera had 113 yards rushing on 14 carries with one touchdown, with 4 catches for 81 yards. For a total of 194 yards.
Defense:
Defensive Back Kenny Allen had a total of 75 yards with an interception returned for a touchdown; as well OLB Frank Renaud with 5 solo tackles and 2 solo sacks.
Coach Joe Mlinaric said the team played with great intensity and played physical on both sides of the ball. However the offence needs to work on holding blocks longer and catching the ball due to the few dropped balls.While the defence needs to work on tackling…making a good sound hit instead of just going for the bigger tackles.
The next home game for the Ravens will be on June 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] against the Steelcity Ironmen.
