The QMFL is now into its second week of activities, with the “Wilbert Scott” 2nd division having already played 2 games.
The 1st division “Bruno Heppell” kicked off its season with some interesting results.
Last season champions, St. Leonard Cougars traveled to the Beauce in the Quebec City region and were soundly beaten 45 – 0 by Beauce Dragons recently promoted back to the 1st division after spending some time in the 2nd division last year.
In another contest, the North Shore Mustangs defeated the St. Bruno Barons 52 – 14 on an impressive performance by rookie RB #22 Cedric Joseph, he scored his teams first 5 TD’s and racked up 240 yards rushing before calling it a night in the 3rd quarter.
