The M.M. Robinson Rams (Burlington) defeated the Westdale Warriors (Hamilton) in the Golden Horseshoe semi-finals earlier today. This is the first time the Rams have reached the final. Three key interceptions and big offensive plays were the difference.
The Lakeshore Catholic Gators (Port Colbourne) defeated St. Marguerite D’Youville Panthers (Brampton) 24 to 17. The Gators scored 24 straight points after being down 17 to 0 at half.
This is the Gators 4th Bowl visit in the last 5 years and sixth since the Golden Horseshoe Bowl started in 2001. It will be the Rams first ever Bowl appearance.

M.M. Robinson advance to the Golden Horseshoe Bowl Final which will be played at Rogers Centre on Tuesday November 27th at 11:15 a.m. versus Lakeshore Catholic of Port Colborne. This game is part of the Bills in Toronto OFSAA Bowls Series
MM Robinson had control of the game from the opening kick off, scoring on
the team’s first possession with a Jon Howard TD.
MM Robinson scored on their second possession with a Jake Jones catch in the end zone.
M M Robinson fumbled at beginning of second but Westdale couldn’t take
advantage. Paul H had an interception for the Rams on the next series. The score was
14-0 at the break.
After half time MM Robinson scored on its first possession on a Jon
Howard run.
On their next possession, Westdale turned over on downs on their own 30
yard line. MM Robinson took advantage scoring on a 33 yard td pass to Jessie
Myer.
The game’s score was 28-0 with five minutes left in third.
Braeden Care had a massive interception to shut down one comeback attempt
8:30 left in fourth.
Westdale’s defence kicked it up a notch shutting down the Robinson
offensive effort. The Westdale offense was able to score on the next
possession on a trick play but fumble the snap on a two point PAT.
The Westdale defence held strong after a on side kick attempt and gave the
ball back to its offense.
A MM Robinson conceded safety gave them the additional two points.
A second trick play gave Westdale a second td, breathing life into the
student body that outnumbered the MM Robinson fans. With the OSSTF labour
action, the board would not allow the school to bus students to the game.
M M Robinson kicker, Jordan Camp scored a 28-yard field goal to put the
score at 31-15 with 3 minutes remaining. He was perfect on point after
conversions also.
MM Robinson, took the wind out of the Westdale comeback with Ryan Bond’s
interception. MM Robinson sealed the deal with less than 2 minutes left on a touchdown from Jon
Howard to make the final score 38-15 MM Robinson.
