Ravens add two local commits and one out-of-province commit to their 2019 class.
For CFC60 Patrick Lavoie, an offensive lineman from Collège André-Grasset, returning home was nagging at the back of his mind and the Carleton Ravens offered him a chance to soothe those thoughts.
Dylan McCoy, an offensive lineman from Harry Ainlay High School, and Cleveland Wallace Jr, a defensive lineman from St. Francis Xavier High School, will also be joining the Ravens.

During his recruitment, Patrick Lavoie was privy to firsthand accounts of how the Ravens operate. “My cousin played for the Ravens for five years and only had positives to say about the program and the team spirit,” he said. “I chose Carleton because I felt it was the best fit for me and it is a program with a lot of potential and a great family atmosphere.”
Currently living in Montréal, Québec, Lavoie is longing for more familiar territory. “I also felt like returning home was the best choice for me and my future,” said the product of Gatineau, Québec.
Lavoie is backed by the knowledge that the Ravens coaches are there for him. “The coaching staff is great. I do believe they have a plan for me to become the best I can be on and off the field,” he said. “Their mentoring in academics is also great. I got to meet the o-line coach, Coulsen, and do some drills with him and it only reinforced my choice.”
Standing at hulking 6’5, 310lbs, Lavoie spent four years with the Ottawa Myers Riders (OPFL), eight with the Gatineau Vikings (NCAFA) and three with Les Phénix du Collège André-Grasset (RSEQ Division 1). Lavoie, who is going into business and marketing, was a 2017 all-star. In 2018 he won a Bol d’Or and was an offensive line MVP.

Dylan McCoy
Dylan McCoy will be exchanging Alberta for Ontario when the 2019 season rolls around. The product of Edmonton, Alberta, was a member of the Harry Ainlay Titans (MEHSFL). The 6’3, 265lbs defensive tackle and guard also played with the Bellerose Bulldogs (MEHSFL).

Cleveland Wallace Jr.
Cleveland Wallace Jr. is already familiar with Ottawa, Ontario. It is his hometown after all. In his career he has played for the Ottawa Jr. Riders (QJFL), the Cumberland Panthers (NCAFA) and Football North St. Joes. He stands at 6’1, 290lbs. According to his HUDL, he can bench 315lbs, has a vertical of 30, can complete the 40-yard dash in 5.63 seconds and the shuttle in 5.13.
