OVFL:  Junior Varsity Ravens rout Cowboys to clinch first round bye

The junior varsity Essex Ravens continued to soar high as the team clinched second seed in the Adams Conference and a first round bye, by blowing out the Halton Cowboys 62-0.

Once again, the Ravens got impressive performances by their running backs. Jalen Jackson led the way with 11 carries for 110 yards and a touchdown. Brody Quinn had 4 carries for 54 yards and a touchdown, Matthieu Pickens had 6 carries for 48 yards and a touchdown while  Nate Delaney had 4 carries for 41 yards and a touchdown.

Quarterbacks Jake Faubert and Morgan Ing would combine to throw for five passing touchdowns in the victory. Receiver Brandon Speller would have 3 touchdown receptions in the game while Chris Tannous would add 2 touchdown receptions.

Defensively, the Ravens held the Cowboys to under 100 yards of total offense, and forced three turnowers.

The Ravens will have this week off and their next game will be Saturday August 3. Game time and opponent to be determined.
