Highlights : Playing in the final home game of his career, Laval Rouge et Or running back Sébastien Lévesque rushed for 197-yards and a pair of touchdowns as he helped power his team to their ninth straight RSEQ title with a 30-7 win over the Montreal Carabins. His performance earned earned him player of the game honours during the 2011 Dunsmore Cup, presented by Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton.
The Brossard, Quebec native capped off a late first quarter scoring drive with a 40-yard scamper into the end zone to give Laval 15-0 lead.
Leading 18-7, Lévesque provided the knockout punch to Montreal with two-seconds remaining in the third quarter as he cut through the Carabin defence with an 85-yard run to the house. It was the longest rush in a Dunsmore Cup final since Lévesque broke open a 90-yard touchdown run against Concordia in the 2008 championship game.

Highlights : Samaël Lavaud is the RSEQ defensive player of the week after a six tackle and sack performance in his team’s 30-7 victory over the Montreal Carabins in the Dunsmore Cup, presented by Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton. The Criminology student dropped Carabin pivot Alexandre Nadeau-Piuze for a loss of 12 late in the second quarter.
During the regular season, Lavaud led his team with 29 solo tackles and 24 assisted tackles for a total of 41 tackles.

Highlights : Laval Rouge et Or’s Patrick Lavoie is the RSEQ special teams Player of the week. The receiver completed three solo tackles and one assisted tackle in his team’s 30-7 victory over the Montreal Carabins in the 2011 Dunsmore Cup, presented by Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton.
His most important stop came in the first quarter when Montreal punter Pierre-Paul Gélinas fumbled the exchange on a punt and was forced to run to attempt to keep the Carabins drive alive, but Lavoie stopped the punter shy of the first down marker, forcing a turnover on downs.
The Rouge et Or took advantage of the turnover, scoring a 26-yard touchdown on the next play.
