Western Mustangs linebacker Sean Blake has signed a contract with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers as announced by the team earlier today.
Blake wrapped up his Mustangs career by matching a career high with 28 tackles in the 2013 regular season, along with one sack, one interception, and one forced fumble. The Hamilton, Ont. native went on to add another 12.5 tackles in the postseason, playing in each of the Mustangs three playoff contests. Over the past five seasons the senior recorded 103.5 tackles, four sacks and three interceptions in 35 regular season games, while also adding 38.5 tackles and three sacks in 11 playoff matchups.
With Blake’s signing the Blue Bombers now have three former Mustangs players on their current roster including offensive lineman Chris Greaves who has been with Winnipeg since being drafted as a defensive lineman in 2010, and kicker Lirim Hajrullahu who was signed in January.
